Pharmacist (Part-Time/Per Diem)

Responsibilities include:

*The supervision of pharmacy technicians according to NJ Board of Pharmacy regulations.

*Timely and accurately perform final quality checks of prescription orders prior to shipment.

*Supervision of compounding activities of non-sterile preparations such as topical creams, suspensions/solutions, capsules, suppositories, troches, etc.

*Performing quality checks and calculations of pharmacy technician & intern functions within our labs including the checking of powder weights, formula calculations, etc.

* Assisting front-end operations by effectively handling customer calls and consultations, the proper intake of verbal prescription orders, and new Rx/refill processing.

*Assisting management with the oversight of pharmacy technician, pharmacy assistant, and intern functions including front-end operations, order fulfillment, and shipping activities.

*Any other tasks as assigned by the facility Pharmacist-In-Charge.

*A cooperative work attitude, adaptive team player, good management and organizational skills.

*Great customer service and phone skills. Ability to promote favorable facility image with physicians, patients, and the general public over the telephone.

*Ability to make decisions and solve problems

Job Requirements:

*Knowledge of pharmacy/compounding a plus but not required.

*Excellent Customer service/Telephone etiquette/communication skills a must. Strong *Data Entry and computer skills.

*Knowledge of PK Software a plus.

*Valid NJ BOP Pharmacist Registration is required.

*Be at least 18 years of age (or as required by state law)

*Have typing skills of at least 30 WPM

*Pass a drug screen test

*Pass background check

*Read and understand USP <795> and USP <800>

*Read and understand HIPAA

*Maintain information confidentiality

*Licensed and in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy

*Have full time and part-time opportunities.

Experience in compounding a plus but will train the right person with the right approach.
